Preservation Capital (“PCP”) are pleased to announce that Saltus – a PCP portfolio company – has completed the acquisition of GM2, a distinguished UK financial planning business advising on c. £240 million assets under management, and based in Penarth, South Wales.
The addition of GM2 to the Saltus family complements Saltus’ growing South West presence, and furthermore reinforces Saltus’ dedication to providing top-tier financial advice.
The transaction, which represents Saltus’ 6th acquisition since 2022, supports Saltus’ strategic vision and commitment to enhancing its capabilities and geographical reach in the ever-evolving wealth management landscape.
GM2 commented on the transaction: “Since inception, one of the core values at GM2 has been to continually improve both as individuals and as an organisation with the aim of delivering and enhancing a first-class service to our clients. Technology plays a significant role in this and, to stay ahead of the curve, we recognised the need to make further enhancements in this area. From our early discussions with Saltus, it was clear that a merger with them would provide a great fit for our business and our clients. The Saltus team adds further complementary expertise in investments and financial planning, more sophisticated technology, and greater asset class diversification to provide improved risk management capabilities, which will give us more time to focus on looking after [clients]. We couldn’t be happier or more excited at the prospect of a joint future with Saltus. Not only are the businesses a good strategic fit, the culture and people are totally aligned with the same emphasis on providing a high-quality financial planning and investment management service and client experience. GM2 introduces Saltus’s presence to Wales for the first time.”
Andrea Secci, Managing Director at Preservation Capital, said: “’We are thrilled to welcome GM2 to Saltus Group. GM2’s rich history, exceptional track record and dedication to excellence in client service perfectly complement Saltus’ strategy. We are confident that this collaboration is an important step in continuing to expand Saltus’ footprint, adviser base and clientele.”
